- Who it's for
- Buyers choosing how a stone reaches them.
- What you need ready
- The country to deliver to, if you want it shipped.
- How long it takes
- It depends on the seller and the courier. We write to you about delivery once the stone is confirmed.
- What it costs
- Collection is free. Insured delivery is included in the price, or a charge from $60 that you see before you pay.
The two choices
At checkout, “How it reaches you” has no default:
- 1.Pick Insured delivery to you ①, Collect at a jewelry store ③ or Collect in person ④ (on some lots Collect in Bangkok).
- 2.For delivery, fill in Country to deliver to ②.
- 3.Check the total at the top of the checkout, then press Confirm & pay.
How the stone reaches you
Insured delivery to you
Shipped insured, with a tracking number. What it costs, as the lot says:
- “included in the price”
- The seller's charge, paid now with the stone
- from $60, quoted for your country once the stone is confirmed — in the second payment
Collect in person
Free. By appointment — with the seller, or at a place our desk arranges — and handed to you against a signed receipt.
Collect at a jewelry store
Any stone that ships can go to a jewelry store you pick at checkout instead of your door. A $30 handover fee is paid with the stone. You collect it with your ID; the store presses Handed over to the buyer.
Custody — nothing travels
Add custody and the stone goes into the vault in your name. Buy a stone already in custody: “Kept in custody in your name: the stone stays in the vault and the title moves to you.”
What each choice means:
Insured delivery to you. The stone is shipped to you insured. What it costs is shown right beside the choice, before you pay:
- “included in the price” — nothing extra;
- a sum — the seller's own delivery charge, paid now together with the stone. The box at the top shows the total with it;
- from $60 — the exact amount is quoted for your country once the stone is confirmed and billed with the second payment.
Then fill in Country to deliver to. That is all the checkout asks: the address itself goes on your order page once you have paid — see below.
Collect at a jewelry store ①. The stone is shipped insured to a jewelry store you choose under “Choose the store” ② — its name, city, address and opening hours are shown ③ — on the same delivery terms as to your door. You pay a handover fee of $30 with the stone. When the store has it, we write to you with its address, its hours and the date to collect it by: it waits for you 7 calendar days from its arrival. Bring your passport or national ID, as the store checks it against your name before handing the stone over. Your check starts when the store hands it over — there is no I've received the stone to press. Stores marked “Everystone partner” ④ are listed first. A business collects through a person it authorises, and anything not collected in time goes back to the seller — see Collecting at a jewelry store.
Collect in person (on some lots Collect in Bangkok). Free. By appointment — with the seller, or at a place our desk arranges — and handed to you in person against a signed receipt.
The lot page shows both choices and their prices under “Delivery and options”, before you even press Buy.
Collecting at a jewelry store
- 1.Wait for the letter “Your stone is ready to collect”. Your order then shows “At the jewelry store — collect it” ①, with the store's address ③, its hours and “Collect by” with the date ②.
- 2.Go to the store before that date, with your passport or national ID ④.
- 3.The store checks it against your name, hands the stone over and marks it handed over. Your 48-hour check starts then.
The day before the date, if the stone is still waiting, we remind you by letter. Need more time? Write to our desk in the order's deal room before the date: it can extend the time by 7 days.
Buying as a business
When you buy for a verified business, the store hands the stone over to the person your business authorises — never against a name we have not checked. Your order page says what to do under “Who collects the stone for” and your business's name.
- 1.Have a power of attorney for that person notarised.
- 2.In the order's deal room, attach it and write the person's full name as it reads on their passport or national ID. Tick Only the Everystone desk reads this before you send, so the seller does not see it. Our desk asks for it there once the stone is confirmed. These steps are on your order page too ③.
- 3.Our desk checks it, and your order page then says “Power of attorney checked — authorised person:” with the name (① in the picture below).
- 4.That person goes to the store with their passport or national ID. The store sees only their name — never the document.
Until our desk has checked the power of attorney, the store does not hand the stone over. The time to collect it runs all the same — “Collect by” ① in the first picture.
If nobody collects it in time
The purchase is then off: the stone goes back to the seller, insured, and you get back the stone's price only. The buyer's premium, the settlement fee, the delivery to the store, the store's handover fee and any second payment are not refunded — those services were provided. Your order shows “Not collected — the stone goes back”, and we write to you with the amount and, once it is sent, the transfer reference. Returning the stone to the seller costs you nothing more.
When the stone does not travel
- You added custody. The delivery question disappears: the stone is kept in a vault in your name — it cannot be collected at a jewelry store either.
- The stone is sold from custody. The checkout says “Kept in custody in your name: the stone stays in the vault and the title moves to you.” Custody, insurance and the subscription carry on in your name.
Your delivery address
Once your payment is in, your order page has a “Delivery address” block. When the stone is confirmed, our desk also asks for it in the order's deal room, once.
- 1.Open your order. The form under Add the address ① is open until you have saved one.
- 2.Fill in the recipient's full name ②, the street, the city, and the postcode and region if your country uses them. The country is the one you chose at checkout.
- 3.Add Phone for the carrier ③ — a number the courier can call.
- 4.Press Save the address ④.
The stone ships only once the address is there. You can change it with Change the address until the stone ships. It is shown to you, our desk, and whoever sends the stone — never in a letter.
After the stone is confirmed
- We write to you about delivery and the next steps.
- If the stone ships with a tracking number, you get the letter “Your stone is on its way” with it, and your order page shows the number too.
- When the stone is in your hands, press I've received the stone on your order page — or our desk marks it delivered from the tracking. Your order shows “Received — your 48-hour check” (or “In custody — your 48-hour check”), and your check begins. See Your check.
Common problems
Where do I give my address?
On your order page, under “Delivery address”, once you have paid — see Your delivery address. The checkout asks only for the country.
I need it delivered to another country
The delivery was priced for the country you chose at checkout, so the address form keeps it. Write to our desk in the deal room before the stone ships.
Delivery says “from” a price — how much exactly?
That lot's delivery is quoted for your country once the stone is confirmed. You see the exact amount on your order page, in the second payment, before you pay it.
I can't make it to the store in time
Write to our desk in the order's deal room before the date on your order page. It can give you 7 days more; after the date, the stone goes back to the seller.
The store won't hand the stone over to our employee
For a business, the store hands it over only to the person named in the power of attorney our desk has checked, against their passport or national ID. Send the power of attorney in the deal room — see Buying as a business.
Can I switch from delivery to collection, or back?
Reply to your order letter before the stone leaves the seller, and the desk tells you what can be done.
